Torque is a force that tends to rotate or turn things. You generate a torque any time you apply a force using a wrench. Tightening the lug nuts on your car wheels is a good example. When you use a wrench, you apply a force to the handle. This force creates a torque on the lug nut, which tends to turn the lug nut. Learn more about how torque works.

A chuck is used to lock the bit into place, and depending upon the size of the bit, you can create a hole anywhere from 1/4-inch to 6 inches in diameter. Learn more about how to select the right drill bit for the job.
