Dirt Devil Breeze Canister with Power Nozzle M082550

Have high traffic areas? Check out the Dirt Devil Breeze Canister with Power Nozzle M082550. This vacuum is equipped to power through carpeted areas subject to wear and tear.
The Breeze has a nozzle connected to a canister via a metal wand and flexible hose. The power nozzle has a revolving brush, and during our testing, we found this brush helped lift soil from carpets. This brush also leaves carpets looking fluffed and refreshed, which is particularly important in high traffic areas. We were pleased with the Dirt Devil Breeze's performance on carpets overall. It picked up dirt and large debris, such as sizeable crumbs. It struggled to clear carpets of pet hair, especially if the pet hair was in copious amounts. After making several passes, however, the pet hair did eventually get sucked into the vacuum's collection canister.
This collection canister holds an impressive amount of debris. We prefer the bagless collection canister vacuums because we can easily tell if the view-through canister needs emptied. Plus, it forgoes the expense of buying replacement bags.
The Breeze also can be used on bare floors, and it performed adequately. As with most canister vacuums, the Breeze's exhaust air didn't blow dirt and debris around the room. This has more to do with the design of canister vacuums than with the Breeze in particular, but it's still worth noting.
The Dirt Devil Breeze Canister with Power Nozzle has an upholstery brush and crevice tool, which are useful but standard accessories. It also has a filtration system that aids in the reduction of dust and allergens.
At a hefty 15.5 pounds, this model isn't as lightweight as some of the other models in the Dirt Devil lineup. With only a small built-in grip handle, toting the Dirt Devil will certainly give its user a workout. After our testing, we determined the Dirt Devil Breeze Canister with Power Nozzle M082550 is a solid choice, despite a few shortcomings. Still, one can find other models with more bells and whistles -- and a lower price tag -- that work just as well.
