Directed Electronics Boa 265B remote car starter
Date Published: 5/19/08
The Directed Electronics Boa 265B is relatively basic remote starter, but it does contain a keyless entry function and some other handy features not always found in a low-end system.
Just because this is a budget system, the 265B doesn't skimp on the details. In addition to the usual remote-start functions, it has a hood safety switch so the car can't be started accidentally while someone is working under the hood. There is also a brake safety switch and ignition-controlled door locking. The 265B comes with a single remote transmitter with four buttons that provide complete control, even from up to 500 feet away from the car. It also utilizes clone-safe code hopping, which constantly changes the transmitter codes to prevent hacking from thieves.
The 265B can be installed by anyone with general experience installing mobile electronics, and the package includes a CD-ROM with complete installation instructions. Of course, it also comes with a complete wiring kit. With a system like the Directed Electronics Boa 265B, there's no excuse to get into a cold car this winter, or a sweltering car in the summer.
