The DeWalt D55155 air compressor is designed to be carried from site to site; its short height -- 12.5 inches, which is its depth when carried vertically -- makes it by far easy to carry as it hangs free without rubbing on one's leg.
Aiding in this is the compressor's handle--almost 10 inches long and hefty. The designers could have improved this, however, if they had included a cushion material in the place where one's hand holds the handle. Should a homeowner be in the market for such a compressor, the short height of the unit would be enticing, too, as it allows for the unit to be easily placed on a countertop or workbench in a garage.
The 100-psi tank recharges in less than 15 seconds. Sound output during the tank's charging/recharging is quiet. This compressor's two quick-connect couplers are situated on a faceplate that also includes tank pressure and regulated pressure gauges and the regulator. Four stocky rubber feet help with stability when the DeWalt D55155 air compressor is set down.
