The Denon DCM-280 is a CD carousel that improves upon an already good idea. While having a five-disc CD-only carousel lets you load up a few hours of music, the DCM-280 is compatible with MP3 discs. You could conceivably hold up to 50 hours of music in this changer!

The DCM-280 is compatible with CD-R/RW, so you can play regular audio tracks and MP3 files burned to disc. The player uses an advanced multilevel noise shaping digital-to-analog converter in addition to an 8X oversampling digital filter, both of which improve the sound. The changer can work with a cassette recorder for synchronized recordings. The DCM-280 is fully programmable, with a 32-track playlist memory and both single-disc and multidisc random play.

Using the remote, you can rotate the carousel either clockwise or counterclockwise to access the desired disc as quickly as possible. To connect digitally to an A/V receiver or recorder, the DCM-280 has a coaxial digital output. While keeping the price affordable, the Denon DCM-280 sounds and operates like a much more expensive CD changer.
