DeLonghi's Dragon Oil-Filled Radiator Heater HM25E is the deluxe version of its popular line of safe, silent, oil-filled electric heaters.

The heated oil inside the sealed tubes radiates heat evenly in all directions. In this model, a programmable timer (96 settings) allows you to set the unit to turn on and off twice in the same 24 hour period. "On" periods can last up to eight hours each. This is a great convenience and energy-conserving feature as well. Set the heat so it comes on only when you need it.

In addition, an anti-freeze setting will turn the unit on when the room temperature goes down to 44 degrees Fahrenheit--useful for keeping pipes from freezing while you're gone or asleep.

An LCD display shows the current temperature and time. Digital controls let you set the thermostat to desired heat levels. The HM25E has three power levels of 600, 900, and 1500 watts. Respective Btu outputs are 2050, 3070, and 5120. The unit automatically draws from the wattage level it needs to maintain the temperature set on the thermostat.

A nice feature of this heater is that the heating element is not exposed. Although the unit is hot to the touch, it's not hot enough to cause a burn. The unit rolls easily on sturdy castors and includes cord storage for when it's not in use. A thermal cut-off switch shuts down the heater if it becomes too hot.

DeLonghi's HM25E is recommended for heating spaces that are between 86 and 216 square feet.
