Dell 1815dn

Date Published: 2/27/07

You might think of Dell only as a computer manufacturer, but its 1815dn laser multifunction device will make you rethink things.

This multifunction device offers high-quality laser printouts at a resolution of 600x600 dpi in black only. (The 1815dn cannot print in color.) The unit can print at very good speeds up to 27 ppm.

Dell designed this unit to work well on a SOHO network, and you'll need to connect the 1815dn to a computer to have faxing capabilities, which limits its flexibility.

The 1815dn's copier runs at speeds up to 27 ppm, and you can use the 50-sheet automatic document feeder for large copy jobs. You'll find a 600x1200 dpi optical scan resolution with this multifunction device, and it offers the ability to scan directly to e-mail or directly to PDF, when you have the 1815dn connected to a network.

Finally, the 1815dn is a workhorse multifunction device, offering a maximum monthly cycle of 25,000 pages per month.

Pro: Laser quality and high-speed output
Con: Fax capabilities aren't flexible

Warranty
1-year limited
