A sturdy, but stylishly designed black and brushed stainless-steel base has rubber tipped non-slip feet and sits squarely on your counter. The heavy-duty cooking plate, with its flat griddle surface on one side and ribbed grilling surface on the other, is engineered with the heating elements centrally embedded for even heat transfer throughout its 10.5X18-inch cooking surfaces. A 2-inch diameter black and chrome temperature control knob inserts into the socket of the cooking plate once it's seated properly on the base. This safety interlock feature prevents the unit from operating before the cooking plate is securely positioned.

Five adjustable settings (warm, low, medium, high, and sear), along with a 'ready to cook' indicator light, make it easy to achieve perfect results, whatever you're cooking. Opposite the control knob edge, the cooking plate has multiple drip holes, which drain unwanted fat and grease into a waiting easy-to-empty drip tray. This is especially convenient when cooking bacon on the griddle or grilling hamburgers.

The GG-2's entire cooking plate is readily submersible in hot soapy water for easy cleanup with any non-abrasive scrubbing cloth. Both the drip tray and the included scraping tool are dishwasher safe.
