Cuisinart 12-Cup Programmable Thermal Coffeemaker DTC-975BKN
Date Published: 5/16/06
Sleek elegance and a stylish black and brushed stainless-steel exterior design readily identify the DTC-975BKN coffeemaker as classically Cuisinart.
The unit stands fairly tall, (just less than 16 inches) and sits securely on your counter on four non-slip rubber feet. The 24-hour programmable clock display and pushbutton controls are located on the lower front of the base. The controls include a Brew On button with indicator light, program and clock setting buttons, and Auto-Brew On. The flip-open cover allows easy top access to both the water reservoir and the swing-out filter tray with removable cone filter basket. (This unit uses cone-shaped paper filters. Four sample filters are included. An optional gold-tone filter can be ordered separately.)
The patented design of the lid also seals out air, eliminating bitterness and keeping coffee fresh and piping hot literally all day. The water reservoir has a side water window with easy-to-read markings. A full 12 cups of coffee brew in less than 15 minutes. Additional features include a Brew Pause function that allows you to sneak that first cup without waiting for the full brew cycle and a beeptone ready signal that indicates the end of the brew cycle.
An especially nice feature of this model is the stainless double-wall thermal-insulated 12-cup carafe. The Cuisinart Thermal Coffeemaker DTC-975BKN has a 6-inch-diameter wide bottom that tapers up to a 4-inch round lid, which allows coffee to brew in and pour out of the carafe.
