The tractor squeezes every ounce of performance from the engine, thanks primarily to the beltless direct-drive shaft (backed by a 5-year warranty) that efficiently transfers power to the rear transaxle. It's a heavy-duty machine, with a cast-iron transmission housing and front axle, an 11-gauge steel frame and robotically welded steel chassis.

The Cub Cadet GT 2554 garden tractor's three-blade cutting system is on par with others in this class, and the 54-inch deck is wider than most. It comes with RevTEK reverse mowing technology, which allows the user to mow in reverse only after going through a two-step safety process.
