The Commando FM-870 could be called the Cadillac of car security systems. This one has it all, and then some. It combines an alarm with a remote starter, and it comes with a transmitter/pager with a backlit LCD display that notifies a user if any of a variety of situations occur with his or her vehicle. The transmitter works from a range of over 2,500 feet, so the vehicle doesn't need to be right outside the door in order to be remotely started.
