Commando EZ-2500 remote car starter

The Commando EZ-2500 is a simple yet very effective remote starter with keyless entry. It can only be used on fuel-injected automatic transmission cars, and the keyless entry works with negative door lock outputs; positive outputs need to purchase the optional DLR (Door Lock Relay) module, which costs under $7. The EZ-2500 comes with a pair of three-channel transmitters and a receiver that learns the transmitter codes for enhanced safety.
The EZ-2500 system can be programmed to start the engine every few hours for a preset amount of time to prevent the engine from freezing, as well as to recharge the battery, and it can be selected to run for either 12 or 24 minutes. There is also a Stop&Go feature that keeps the engine turning while the driver locks the doors and runs a short errand. The transmitter works from up to 1,000 feet away from the vehicle. A sensor shuts off the engine if the hood is raised, the brake is depressed, or the car is shifted out of park.
The EZ-2500 has a spare channel available to program for trunk release, power windows, or other function. This is a relatively simple unit to install, although professional help might be advisable. The Commando EZ-2500 is a very functional remote starter, and including keyless entry just adds to the appeal.
