While not the flashiest boom box out there, the Coby CX-CD248 certainly has a feature list deserving of a second glance. It lacks the style and flair of many other boom boxes, looking more like a traditional boom box from years ago.

It has a single-disc CD player, an AM/FM tuner, and a complete cassette player and recorder. The CD is a top-loading design, leaving room for the cassette on the front panel.

The cassette deck has an automatic stop, and it also features an automatic level control to avoid both distortion from levels that are too high and tape hiss from levels that are too low.
