The Chantal 2-Quart Double Boiler SL16/DBWF11 BRS includes a 2-quart stainless-steel pot, a 1.25-quart white porcelain bowl, a glass lid, and a stainless-steel whisk. This functional (and beautiful!) pan does a great job melting chocolate and is perfect for sauces and custards. The inner porcelain bowl can hold 1.25 quarts.

When in use as a double boiler, 2.5 inches of the bowl sit immersed in the pot. This leaves a little more than 1 inch of space in the bottom pot to add water. For extended use, you should be sure to check the water level periodically and replenish as needed to avoid the pan boiling dry. The 1/4-inch rim of the bowl extends to two handles, which allow it to be easily lifted out of the pot. The lid rests on the rim of the pot, and steam can escape as needed.

The porcelain bowl can also be safely used in the microwave or conventional oven. The 2-quart brushed stainless-steel pot can be used on its own for stovetop use. The clear tempered glass lid, with its steel rim, has the signature Chantal loop handle. Although the pot, lid, and bowl are dishwasher safe, hand drying is recommended to retain the spotless, shiny exterior.
