Cardo Scala-Rider Mobile Headset

Date Published: 10/26/06

This mobile headset is designed specifically with motorcyclists in mind. The Scala-Rider fits both open-faced and full helmets, connecting to your phone via Bluetooth. Incoming calls can be accepted or rejected by voice commands, and the battery offers an impressive seven hours of talk time and almost one week of standby.

Installation is easy and incoming and outgoing communications are surprisingly clear and devoid of wind and background noise. But the major drawback of the Scala-Rider is the small size of the volume buttons. It needn't be said that when you're riding a motorcycle and on a phone call, you don't want to be searching for controls. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable and well-made product.

Pros: Comfortable design, strong clarity, excellent battery
Cons: Tiny volume controls
