The stainless-steel Cool Grind 503 from Capresso is as sharp-looking on the outside as the blades on the inside. This compact blade grinder features an elegant stainless-steel design with black accents.

An extra-large 3.5-ounce grinding bowl lets you grind enough beans to make 15 cups of coffee. A single push-and-release button activates the motor. You can hold for continuous processing or touch and release for pulse-like grinding. Depending on the processing time, you can achieve a coarser grind for percolators, or a finer grind for French press machines or even steam boiler espresso machines. This grinder is not recommended for the extra-fine grind needed for pump espresso makers.

For best results, you should grind in small batches and for 10-second intervals, until the desired grind is achieved. Most types take less than 30 seconds total.

A see-through safety lid lets you observe the grinding in progress and also prevents the unit from operating if it is not securely in place. Another handy feature is the recessed cord storage on the unit's base.

The Capresso Cool Grind 503 is also equipped with a low-heat motor, which preserves the delicate flavor of the coffee.
