The imageCLASS MF5730 from Canon offers laser-print quality in a sub-$250 unit, making it one of the most affordable laser multifunction devices available. The imageCLASS MF5730's biggest drawback is its lack of fax capabilities, but its other features are above average for a multifunction device in this price class.

This unit's laser printer can print in black only. It runs at speeds up to 21 ppm and at a resolution up to 600X1200 dpi.

The imageCLASS MF5730's copier also works at speeds up to 21 ppm, but its maximum resolution is 600X600 dpi, which is standard for laser multifunction devices. Unfortunately, the imageCLASS MF5730 only can resize original documents at between 50 and 200 percent.
