The Campbell Hausfeld Portable Air Compressor FP2020 is a residential spec air compressor meant for occasional use in the home, garage, or workshop.

This 120-volt pancake-tank-style unit is designed to last for approximately 1,000 hours of use and produces only moderate noise. Home users will find this 0.8-scfm (90 psi) compressor capable of such tasks as inflation of tires and balls, air cleaning, and operating some pneumatic staplers. While the compressor provides enough pressure for these household jobs, it does not have the capacity for most blasting, automotive, and carpentry applications.

A direct-drive engine and oil-free operation make this a low-maintenance unit. A universal coupler facilitates the use of all applicable attachments. The following attachments are included and can be kept on hand in the built-in accessory storage: 25-foot hose, inflation adapter, two nozzles, needle, and tire chuck.

This unit is a capable inflator and air cleaner; however, most other uses are beyond its modest 0.8-scfm output. At $165, this compressor may be overkill for pumping up a basketball, and unfortunately not quite capable of carpentry tasks, such as powering a nail gun.

Its compact size, light weight, and well-positioned carrying handle make the Campbell Hausfeld FP2020 highly portable.
