The stock pot is tall and graceful with cast stainless-steel side handles and a domed, tempered glass lid. The anodized exterior surface is one of the hardest you can find.

The Calphalon One infuses that surface with an advanced release polymer, which prevents foods from adhering to the surface of the pan. The interior features four interlocking nonstick layers for exceptional performance and durability. Stain resistant inside and out, the pot is as easy to care for as it is practical to use. Not only is this stock pot great for stovetop use--making soups, sauces, and stews--it also is oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is ideal for soups such as French onion, which need to be started on the stovetop and finished in the oven.

The clear glass lid has a brushed stainless rim and a riveted stay-cool handle. The clear lid is especially useful when keeping an eye on the boiling point of whatever's cooking inside. Calphalon One pans are not dishwasher safe, and to protect the nonstick surface, only nylon or wood utensils should be used with them.
