Bumbleride Flyer Stroller
Date Published: 6/11/07
It may cost more than a basic travel stroller, but if you're in the market for a high-end stroller sporting style and comfort, the Bumbleride Flyer Stroller is worth it.
We love the plush stroller seat, and especially like the option to remove and wash the cover. The seat can recline to four different positions. The Bumbleride Flyer Stroller's canopy is large and generous, and it can also be removed. It even has a peek-through window so you can keep an eye on your child. There are plenty of storage options, including a large underseat storage basket and a cup holder. Plus, the Flyer Stroller's passenger will enjoy a smooth ride, thanks to all-wheel suspension that performs well over a variety of different surfaces.
Unlike many travel strollers, the Bumbleride Flyer Stroller has adjustable height handles that range from 32 to 45 inches. And, in a very unusual move, the handles can be reversed to steer the stroller from either direction. The Flyer Stroller has a universal adapter to make it infant car seat compatible (car seat sold separately) and has a number of accessories that can be purchased for additional cost, including a rain cover or seat liner made with New Zealand sheep's wool.
The Bumbleride Flyer Stroller weighs a few pounds more than the most basic travel strollers. Still, we find it relatively easy to fold, lift and unfold the stroller. If you prefer comfort features over extreme portability, it's probably a fair trade-off.
Overall, the Bumbleride Flyer Stroller is easy to maneuver and has the extras we've come to expect in larger, full-size strollers -- and it's available in many different colors.
Pros: Large removable canopy, easy maneuverability, adjustable and reversible handles
Cons: Costs more than some
