The PlusDeck is designed to work with your computer, in a variety of ways. As a standard audio cassette deck, it can play taped audio through the computer's speakers or the front-panel headphone jack. You can send audio from the PlusDeck into your computer and convert it to MP3 files, or transfer content to CD or DVD for archiving. The player is also equipped for recording, allowing you to tape any computer audio, including streaming internet audio.

The PlusDeck isn't a stand-alone unit, as it fits into a standard drive bay like those that accommodate the usual 5-1/4-inch CD drives.
