Brother QL-500 label writer

Date Published: 6/23/06

If you need versatility in the types of labels you create, but can live without the benefits of portability, Brother's QL-500 works with your computer to provide a lot of options.

Just connect the QL-500 to your Windows PC or Macintosh through a USB port, use the software included with the QL-500 or almost any text-formatting software, and create nearly any kind of label, including ID badges, banners, DVD labels, and mailing labels. The QL-500 uses thermal print technology for the labels.

You can print labels ranging from 1 inch to 3 feet in length and of varying widths up to 2.4 inches. Because it only works with a computer, the QL-500 can use any TrueType font on the PC, providing great versatility.

Almost any kind of text style that's permitted in text formatting software is workable with the Brother QL-500, along with a few types of bar codes.
