In most cases, when you see a multifunction device that costs less than $100, you should wonder, "What's the catch?" In the case of the inkjet MFC-210C from Brother, there doesn't appear to be one.

The MFC-210C's printer runs at a maximum speed of 20 ppm in black and 15 ppm in color at a maximum resolution of 6000 by 1200 dpi. The MFC-210C can print directly from a variety of photo memory cards as well, and features 8 MB of memory.

The unit's fax machine sends documents at speeds up to 10 ppm. The MFC-210C has a flatbed copying surface, and it can run at speeds up to 17 ppm for black and 11 ppm for color. It can resize an original at sizes between 25 and percent. The scanner operates at a maximum optical resolution of 600 by 2400 dpi.

Maybe most impressive of all, the Brother MFC-210C can print up to 2,500 pages per month, which is a high volume of work for a budget-priced multifunction device.
