Unfortunately, this unit doesn't offer any fax capabilities, which would be a nice addition. The DCP-8045D's maximum print speed is 21 ppm, and it can print at a maximum resolution of 2400X600 dpi. It works with both Windows and Macintosh computers. Because it's a laser device, the DCP-8045D has no color printing capabilities.

This multifunction device's copier can run at speeds up to 21 ppm and offers resizing of originals between 25 and 400 percent.

The DCP-8045D's scanner runs at a maximum optical resolution of 600X2400 dpi, and it can scan in 48-bit color depth.

Finally, the DCP-8045D has a 250-sheet paper tray and a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, which is impressive for a consumer-level multifunction device.
