Although the look of this hood is commercially influenced, it is not a commercial hood. This means it should not be used to ventilate high-powered commercial-style gas ranges or cooktops. Instead, it is a perfect hood to pair with electric and gas ranges or cooktops of conventional power.

Rated at 370 cfm (cubic feet per minute), this model draws a bit more steam, heat, and grease than the typical small hood. It can be used both vented and non-vented, and is appropriate for ceilings no higher than 8-9 feet. Higher ceilings can be accommodated by purchase of an extension flue. Ductless installations require the separate purchase of an indoor exhaust kit. In the case of high heat, the Heat Sentry safely adjusts this fan to high for immediate ventilation.
