While most Bose systems are designed to deliver a powerful sound while remaining out of sight, the CineMate system goes one step further. Instead of trying to place five separate surround speakers and a subwoofer in a home theater space, the CineMate uses two unique speakers and an Acoustimass bass module to produce a complete surround soundstage.

The CineMate's two speakers are placed in the standard front left and right positions, and no other satellites (or their corresponding cables) are needed. Each speaker employs a pair of 2-inch drivers in an array that, with the help of advanced signal processing, provides a convincing surround sound effect and a rock-solid center image. They are magnetically shielded for placement near a television monitor. The Acoustimass bass module is a traditional subwoofer, featuring a 5-1/4-inch long-throw woofer.

The CineMate package comes with an interface module and all of the necessary speaker wires and connectors. With no need for rear speakers, or rear speaker cables, the CineMate system is one of the easiest ways to enjoy a surround experience with a minimum of set-up fuss.
