The Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III is a terrific satellite/subwoofer combination, ideal for people who want to hear their home theater speakers but not see them. The Acoustimass 6 uses five of Bose's Direct/Reflecting satellite cubes that, although tiny, leave you wondering where the rest of the speakers are.

The small cubes in the Series III are magnetically shielded, so they can be positioned without worries near a television monitor. Each employs a single 2-1/2-inch driver, although with the quality of sound produced, you'll think there was a lot more speaker involved. The cubes are coupled with a 5-1/4-inch high-excursion woofer in the Acoustimass module, which supplies a very musical, deep bass. It uses internal signal processing to dynamically control the bass to bring up the levels when listening at softer volumes. At high volumes, an automatic protection circuit will lower levels if the system is in danger of overloading.
