The 301s are suitable for use as stereo speakers working alone, or as the front left and right satellites of a larger home theater system. The 301 speakers use the Bose Direct/Reflecting design that angles the drivers forward and back, using reflections from the walls to add spaciousness to the direct sound.

Each 301 has an 8-inch front-firing woofer and a pair of 2-inch tweeters, one firing forward and one firing rearward. The cabinets have a bass reflex design that produces surprisingly good bass from the small enclosure.

The MSRP of $328 is per pair of 301s, and they are available in black or light cherry finishes. The recommended power is 10 watts to 150 watts, rated from 4 to 8 ohms.
