The over-the-range microwave oven HMV9303 is designed to complement Bosch's cooktops and ranges, but it's impressive enough that we'd use it over other manufacturer's products as well.

Quite simply, we like this 30-inch microwave oven because it offers all the features of the General Electric's best over-the-range model. So like the General Electric model is this one that we suspect they are manufacturing it for Bosch. Either way, the HMV9303 makes a great choice -- especially if you can find it offered for less than the comparable General Electric unit.

When it comes to features, this model offers a full sensor, a hidden vent and dual lights for the cooktop. The range hood portion vents up to 300 cubic feet per minute (CFM), which is typical of models of this type.

The 12-inch glass turntable is a bit smaller than what you'll find on some microwaves in this category. This size shouldn't adversely affect use unless you plan on cooking with some very large plates or dishes. If you have any concerns, we recommend taking any large plate with you to the store, so you can sample the fit in the dealer's display.

What sets the Bosch HMV9303 apart from the rest of the pack is that it's offered in an exciting new appliance color: titanium. This color is metallic, but unlike stainless steel it's more tan/bronze. This color makes a good choice for kitchens with warm undertones where almond or bisque would have been the color of choice in the past. For those looking for a less risky finish, Bosh offers this oven in white (HMV9302), black (MHV9306) and stainless steel (HMV9305).

Although not often paired with appliances other than Bosch's, we would not hesitate to install the HMV9303 microwave oven in any kitchen -- especially if we found it at the right price.
