The Bosch Compact Design Kitchen Machine MUM 4750 is an all-in-one machine that does the work of a stand mixer, a blender, and a food slicer/shredder.

The powerful 450-watt motor effortlessly mixes, kneads, and whips all kinds of batters. The mixer utilizes planetary mixing action to spin and rotate the beater around a stationary 4-quart stainless-steel bowl. Because the bowl locks in place and only the beater moves, there's less vibration and virtually no "creeping" along the countertop.

Standard mixing attachments include an anti-splash cover, heavy-wire beater, dough hook, and balloon whisk. The single oversize attachment design is efficient and easy to clean. As efficient as the mixer is on its own, the MUM 4750 also converts to function as a blender and a continuous food slicer/shredder. The secret is a unique multi-function mixing arm that flips and ultimately locks into three different positions.

The unit delivers efficient performance using the 6-cup blender carafe and the continuous slicer/shredder attachment. The shredder attachment comes with three discs for slicing, shredding, and grating. The slicing and shredding discs are reversible, offering a choice of coarse or fine

The motor has a slow start/slow stop feature that hesitates for a second or two before starting up and again when slowing down. There are four electronically controlled speeds plus a momentary pulse function, which provides full speed and power for short bursts.

Because of its many functions, the Bosch MUM 4750 is a bit more complicated than stand-along appliances, yet the added versatility this unit provides makes it an excellent value.
