Made from quality 18/10 stainless steel, the BonJour Double Boiler is an all-in-one pot with an interior water chamber sandwiched between two stainless-steel walls. The pan is 6 inches tall with a 5-3/4 -inch-diameter base and a flared rim. The cooking surface features a traditional rounded bottom for easy stirring. It has a stay-cool black phenolic plastic handle, which provides access to the internal water reservoir. The pan also comes with a miniature funnel, which is inserted in an opening in the handle so you can pour water into the inner chamber. A clear indicator on the base of the handle shows the level of water remaining at any given time.

A handy feature is the built-in whistle, which sounds a shrill alert when the water has reached a boiling temperature. At that point, you can lower the heat and add chocolate, cheese, or other ingredients to the pan and stir. The simmering water provides a gentle heat so your delicate ingredients won't burn.
