The Backup-Sensor 4SVC is one of the more comprehensive backup systems available. This multiformat system provides a rear-view camera, as well as a 4-inch TFT LCD display that is incorporated into an innovative rear-view mirror that mounts over your existing rear-view mirror. In the center of the mirror is the display, which can also be used for viewing a DVD or navigation system.

The 4SVC also provides an audio proximity alert. This is advantageous for situations such as parallel parking, as you can listen to the sensor while still looking back as you maneuver. The audio alert has three stages, with one type of sound when there is no obstacle, a higher pitch with faster beeping when the obstacle is 44 inches away and an even higher and faster alert when the detected obstacle is within 14 inches. If the audio gets annoying, it can be muted.

This back-up sensor takes its power from the reverse lights on the rear of the vehicle, so it only operates when the vehicle is in reverse. The 4SVC installs fairly easily, and it even comes with a drill bit that is perfectly sized for installing the sensors. When safety is a concern, the 4SVC back-up sensor is a very good system, providing both audio and video signals for complete coverage.
