B&W has a problem with their DM602 S3 speakers. They look so good you might overlook the incredible sound they produce.

The speaker uses a 7-inch Kevlar cone bass/midrange driver and a 1-inch alloy dome tweeter in a vented box system. The engineering in the speaker design is worth mentioning: the internal bracing reduces any cabinet resonance for a very solid bass performance. The Flowport actually uses golf ball design to reduce turbulence--it is dimpled to smooth the movement of air, eliminating the chuff that poorly designed ports can produce.

With a frequency range of 40Hz to 42kHz (-6dB) with a response of 49Hz to 22kHz (+/-3db), the DM602 S3 are ideal for DVD-Audio or SACD. They would be incredible as a stereo pair, or you could splurge and get four to use in a home theater--use B&W's LCR60 S3 as a center channel speaker. They are available in Black Ash or a gorgeous Light Oak Sorrento finish that looked great in a bright, modern setting.
