Available at a bargain price, Audiovox's CE147 is a functional portable CD player. The CE147 has an attractive yet unconventional design, with a slightly square shape that stands out from all the round portable CD players on the market.
The CE147 can play audio CD and CD-R/RW, but it does not support discs holding MP3 digital audio files. Playback features include a programmable memory, so you can create your own custom playlists even. To keep the music going during bumpy travel, the CE147 has a 60-second anti-skip memory.
The CE147 comes less-than-stellar earbud headphones, so you might want to consider upgrading to a better-quality set. The system uses a pair of AA batteries. The CE147 portable CD player is a good starter model at a low price.
