The System 920 is an inexpensive (relatively speaking) way to get the superior sound of Atlantic Technology into a home theater. This package consists of five identical surround speakers and a powered subwoofer, all of which sport a sharp silver-and-black finish that will complement most home entertainment system components.

Each of the System 920's satellites uses a 4-inch GLH woofer and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter, with a combined frequency response of 100Hz to 20,000Hz (+/-3dB). The recommended power handling is 10 watts to 100 watts (average) and the sensitivity is 88dB, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. The speakers are magnetically shielded for placement near a TV monitor. For future upgrades or enhancements, the satellites are matched so that they can be exchanged with other speakers in the Atlantic Technology product line.

The included subwoofer has an 8-inch long-throw driver powered by a 100-watt amplifier, and it has a frequency response of 34Hz to 250Hz. There is an adjustable crossover to make sure the subwoofer blends seamlessly with the satellites, and its 18dB/octave slope ensures minimal overlap with the lower reaches of the satellite speakers. The System 920's sub has many features that are usually only found on stand-alone units, such as dual low-level inputs and outputs for adding more components. An automatic standby with an adjustable turn-off delay and a phase switch add to the appeal.
