The AT&T E2126 2.4GHz Cordless Phone is an inexpensive product that provides decent performance along with a few features. For the most part, features are kept to a minimum on this phone to keep the price down. However, built into the handset is a speakerphone, which is excellent for when you're on long calls or for when you're placed on hold. The handset also has a 30-entry phonebook and caller ID log. Meanwhile, the base station includes a 15-minute digital answering machine. If you're outside the home, the messages can be checked remotely.

Range is fairly good and transmissions for calls are relatively clear and strong. But because signals are sent using 2.4GHz frequencies, you will experience interference with Wi-Fi networks. Another downside is that because the handset uses a NiCd battery, recharging is subject to memory effect. Other features include: page/handset locator, headset jack, wall mounting, and memo recording. Overall, the AT&T E2126 is a low-priced product that is a good choice for a second phone.
