AT&T 1722 Standalone Answer Machine

Date Published: 2/4/09

If you need to screen your calls, answering machines are some of the best-equipped devices to do so. If you are keeping your budget in mind, look at the AT&T 1722.

Attractive in its black-and-silver design, the AT&T 1722 is a surprisingly well-made product. All incoming messages are stamped with the time and date and are stored digitally in the 19-minute memory. A single-digit message counter shows you when you have messages waiting and should you experience a power failure, don't worry, your messages will not be lost.

During playback, the sound quality is exceptional and the messages can be listened to at variable speeds (for those less important calls). Other features include: remote access w/ voice prompts, memo recording, and audible message alert.

Standalone answering machines have become somewhat of a gadget of the past, but if you like to screen your calls, the 1722 from AT&T is one of the best choices on the market.
