The Ascaso Arc Fun AR-623 is built to brew a perfect cup of espresso. This unit heated quickly and performed beautifully using a variety of espresso blends and produced a thick layer of crema--both when using ground coffee and pre-packed coffee pods.

The unit is relatively compact, standing approximately 12.5 inches tall, 8.7 inches wide, and 11 inches deep. The weight of this model is almost 15 pounds--enough to keep it steady on your counter but not so heavy as to be cumbersome.

The unit is attractively designed with primarily square dimensions that are curved in the front for a softer appearance. The Arc Fun is available in a variety of colors: blue, pink, yellow, red, or black.

We were impressed with the Arc Fun's many quality components: the exterior constructed of heavy-duty metal, a brass boiler unit, electronic circuit protection, a safety Thermofuse and steam pipe protector, an Accu-read gauge, and dual-system temperature control.

Three easy-to-use pushbutton controls activate the power and let you select between the coffee or steam functions. Two temperature lights let you know when the unit is pre-heated and ready to go. Among the many handy features were an oversize removable drip tray, removable 2-liter (8-cup) water tank, no-fuss frothing wand, and convenient cup warmer atop the machine.

You will pay a bit more for the Ascaso Arc Fun AR-623 than some others in its class, but you will not be disappointed.
