The Ariens 11528 DLET is a heavy-duty snow blower driven by a track. This model is not your everyday snow blower; it is ideal for steep driveways and rough terrain.
We like to use this Ariens snow blower on steep terrain specifically because of the traction provided by its unusual track. This model is rugged enough to climb hills and holds position well on the downhill climb, as well.
A snow blower like this one that is built for rough surfaces requires a larger-than-average engine to keep it moving along. The 11528 DLET features a powerful 11.5-hp Briggs & Stratton Intek Snow OHV engine, which provides it more than enough momentum to move over just about anything you may encounter.
The major disadvantage of this Ariens machine is its lackluster performance on tight turns. If you have a short or narrow drive and anticipate making lots of turns, consider a model equipped with wheels instead of a track. Even though this model's track is smaller and more maneuverable than some others, it still complicates turns. Unless you have a steep hill, this machine may be too much snow blower for your home; if you'll be clearing multiple drives, on the other hand, you may find this machine to be just the powerhouse you need.
