Adorama ProOptic auxiliary Super Fish-Eye Lens, 0.25X

It's easy to convert a conventional SLR normal lens into an ultra wide-angle fisheye lens by simply screwing an auxiliary lens such as the Adorama Pro Optic Super X 0.25 Fish-Eye adapter lens into the front of the regular lens. This widens the view of a normal 50mm lens from about 48 degrees out to a broad 180-degree coverage. You will have to purchase an inexpensive adapter ring to fit the threads on your camera lens, typically 55 or 58mm, but it can also be used with lenses having other larger diameter filter threads up to series VII size also. We tested this auxiliary fisheye lens on a Canon EOS A2 SLR having a 35-135mm zoom lens. The zoom lens was used at the 50mm (normal) focal length. It attached with a supplied 58mm adapter ring just like a filter. The lens field expanded to a huge 180 degrees imparting curvature at each corner of the rectangular image with rounded black corners similar to vignetting. Focusing is done normally and the resulting images at a variety of nearby and distant subject all had very good detail in the center with some softening around the edges. There was no need for any exposure adjustment. The slight extra length and weight added to the front of your camera lens does not adversely effect handling the lens normally.
